Golden straw. Rich and nutty bouquet of marzipan, yellow flowers, apple syrup, brioche, baking spice and graham. A bit of aldehyde and oxidation, but I'm not finding premox, just a mature white burg without much spine. Moderate acidity (honestly expected less!), soft, honeyed oak impact yet good persistence, maybe a touch bitter. The concentration is high and the overall impression is rich and mature: flavors of cookie dough, pineapple brulee, burdock amd ginger, treacle, lemon marmalade and bruised apple. Drink …

Pale gold in color, with a nose dominated by roasted macadamias. The nose is rounded out by sweet lemon curd, tart apple, and intense minerality. On the palate, this is fairly full bodied, but with pulsing acidity that keeps it from feeling heavy.
