Clear medium yellow. Intense nose, nutty, mineral, lemon and apple nose. A bit rich. Delicious lemon curd and apple flavours and a dry finish but shows a little ripeness at the end.

My first Droin. This has creamy oak but also the acidity and intensity to carry it. Forceful concentration but not overpowering. An eye-opener. Should age well.

Unusual oaked Chablis - but this really worked beautifully. The underlying wine has screaming acidity and minerality - just a touch of oak mellowed and enriched it. Great pairing with Dublin Bay prawn with mayonnaise.

Pale green straw. Promising nose, a touch of sallnity and minerality. Some grip and Chablis typicity on the attack, but this lacks the intensity and proper throat-grabbing grip of good Chablis. A good wine but disappointing for the vineyard — probably the vintage though: a touch too full, padded and easy. ***

Les fruits exotiques (litchis) et une pointe épicée surprennent au premier nez mais le rendent très intéressant, et même intriguant pour nos dégustateurs à l’aveugle. Par la suite, le second nez révèle des arômes de poires et de pêches mûres. La bouche est grasse, satinée, harmonieuse. La minéralité s’y fond bien et le tout se termine sur une longueur impressionnante.

Au Filet avec Michel et Natacha. Un joli nez marin, avec du citron confit. Le vin est gras et bien ouvert, dense, pas très long mais large, avec une acidité plutôt basse lui donne un coté tendre. C'est déjà ouvert et relativement complexe, goûteux. Très bien. 90 pts
