Needs air. Really enjoyable with black cherry on nose and palette. Very elegant and drinking beautifully right now. Not your classic Cali Pinot..,

Consistent with previous bottles. Deep ruby in color, this wine reveals subtle notes of gun smoke, cured meats and black cherry on the nose. The mouth feel is medium to full bodied with more smoke, toast and the slightest level of minerality. The finish is somewhat hot, clearly showing the 14.2% abv. Purchased for $20US, this is a fuller bodied offering whose fruit is secondary to the smoke and minerals. Needs food to show its best.

Color: dark ruby, slightest translucency Nose: jam with a bit of smoke Flavor: slight fruit up front; blackberry, or dark currents, and the slightest hint of mint? Flavors mingle to a creamy finish and linger quite pleasantly. Complex. Definitely a pinot worthy of the hype that the varietal has garnered over the last decade.
