Miguel Merino, Vinas Jovenes, Rioja

Good. A worthy Rioja recommendation from K&L for everyday $20-ish wine. Bought this as my go-to Crianza (Peciña) has been hard to come by locally. The taste is somewhat different from Peciña - oak not nearly as strong. Nice fruit but not overwhelming, some smoke. No heat at all, popped and poured (with aerating spout). Will likely be re-buying this, and probably trying Merino's other offerings.
