Kalinda Chardonnay Napa Valley

This was a disappointing wine. This was overly bitter and offered virtually nothing in the way of redemption. I am glad I had only one bottle, but it does make me weary of the other wines I have from this producer.

This wine had some strong flavors and gusto, and it did stand out, but I found it too pungent and buttery. It was like drinking a cold sour apple dipped in butter, and I am not a chardonnay fan to begin with.

Tastes okay cold, but if served at proper temperature and allowed to open up, it becomes apparent that this is dominated by an unpleasant oak/ash/pine wood profile that makes me suspect wood chips. Cannot recommend this. I had a few more bottles of this and I returned them.

I did not like this at all. Tight nose. Tasted like bitter wood mixed with butter. Very hot and finish was unpleasant. Did I say, I really did not like this at all?
