Weingut Alois Gross Haloze

This ’21 'Haloze' from Weingut Alois Gross was tasted at the annual portfolio tasting from VINTUS. As this was a walk around tasting with over 60 producers, no formal notes on a handful of wines, just total scores. I scored this wine 86 points.

Pours pale hazy lemon in the glass. Wild nose, with this crushed vitamin C tablet note dominating. High and sharp acidity at first, but with air this mellows down significantly. Interesting little drop, but definitely for those that want to ride dangerously.
