Clear light to medium garnet color, zero sediment, zero color degradation. Blueberries dominate the nose with hints of strawberries and other hard to describe elements - it’s like this nose has texture. This wine is exactly what I look for - perfectly integrated, nuanced, absolutely delicious. Notes of orange peel, wild strawberries, and a sense of smokiness without having any smoke elements.

Wow. Simply excellent. Structured elegantly from start to finish with notes of cinnamon, leather saddle, stretched out cherries. A true joy to be around. Required a good decant and filter as it threw a lot of muddy sediment.

Decanted for an hour or so but opened up more over a couple of hours. Medium body, bright and jewel like red, had this had earthy red fruits and a nice lick of acidity, not profound but a lovely elegant cornas

Wow. Beef brisket, fragrant with spices and mild fruits. Earth and long finish.

corked. Color was good and taste was fair but the cork taint ruined it

Good stuff - precise, not too barnyardy but unmistakably cornas - perhaps on the light side but none the worse for that.

Cornas Fest (Shane's abode, Portland OR) : Bummer, this was corked, but you could detect a real good wine underneath.

still too young but already drinkeable, performed better on the 3rd day : more balanced and showed more mature

Exciting and spicy. Cherry and raspberry fruit, elderberry. So full and round in the mouth not revealing its age. This one was my favorite in a blind tasting with Delas Hermitage 1998 (marquize de la tourette), Delas Côte Rotie (seigneur de maugiron) 1998 and Delas Crozes Hermitage 1998 (tour d'albon)

Last bottle form this stash, and by far the best. All chunkiness and hard edges gone. Very spicy and velvety, with more fruit than the last one I tried.

Initially very barnyard and roasted meat, gives way to delicious plum, earth and cassis flavors. Nicely textured.
