Domaine / Maison Vincent Girardin Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Chaumées

This is good, displaying lemon, vanilla, a mild herbal note, and the hard, semi-bitter acids I usually find at this domaine. For all the relative austerity, there’s some good density and even glycerin with nice puckering length. Overall, tasty, straightforward, good… Day 2, the acids have integrated better and there’s a subtle vanilla custardy note now that plays wonderfully with the lemon brightness. Long, tart. 91+ pts now.
