Red fruit, cherry, raspberry, forest floor, sois-bois, lots of spice and beautiful perfume on the finish. The Christmas Eve dinner (honey ham and acorn squash with apples, pears, raisins and baking spices) did nothing for the wine, so ot was good we had finished it before then. 69 cases.

Popped and poured curtesy of tlv. Spice, red fruit, florals and potpourri notes. Medium bodied with terrific red pinot fruit.

I like it but this is not Burgundy. Drank side by side with a village burg and the ripeness and oak of the Soliste was much more evident. It is a well made wine but there is this biting acidity at the very end of the palate that was off putting, like a sudden sour note / acidic bite. Would not buy this at the current prices.

Cherry and spice with earthy undertones. Elegant. Long finish. Drinking nicely after having been double decanted about seven hours before service.

First bottle in a few years. Still quite strong, but I believe the setting may have caused a tiny decline in the score.

Painfully young. Almost barrel sample but full of promise. Reminded me a bit, to a DRC Richebourg just as a style reference as to not offend the purists. Dark fruit with ton of spice, with a very floral nose. The palate still very basic and I regret opening this bottle.

No decant. Still too young. I should have decanted.

Opened at Mama's Fish House for Shari's 50th birthday. This is the third bottle I've opened and the best by far. The color was a beautiful ruby red with a clear hue that reflected beautifully on the white table cloth. The nose is robust with cherry, sous-bois and floral notes. Similar palate with spice added. This was my favorite bottle tasted in 2015. Just incredible.

The clarity of this dark ruby wine is impeccable. Robust aromatics of red cherry, strawberry, hints of raspberry and touch of cherry cola...but not from a can, from an old school soda fountain from a main street store...with real juice. Pick up some spice and wood hints on the palate, bright acidity, low tannin, medium finish.

TLV's Birthday Dinner (Anvil Club) : Another of tlv's bottles, and if I recall correctly, this had been decanted ahead of time. Knockout bouquet featuring cherry, rose petals, lavender, lilacs and mineral. I love everything here, but also everything that isn't here- no cola or ripe dark fruit. Instead, one tastes cherries, minerals, spices and florals with just a hint of strawberry as well. The wine shows tremendous balance as it glides seamlessly across the palate and into the lengthy …

Opened at Anvil for birthday dinner. Decanted for two hours before re-bottling and transport to the club. This had been open about 5 hours before consumption. This wine is magnificent. The color and clarity is mesmerizing, with beautiful aromatics on the nose. Red fruits with hints of spice and florals. Exceptional.

Opened by LostVerse. This was the 3rd Soliste I have had and all have been very good. This was the first L'Ambroisie and it was the best so far. Thought this was showing very young still and needs time. Bright fruit with notes of cherries, raspberries and a bit of cola. Firm tannins. Liked the dirty (almost raunchy) finish. I think TLV and Allred liked this even better than I did. 92 points.

Impecible clarity. Aromas of cedar, smoke, strawberry. Scent lingers. Bright, complex flavors and balanced acidity as wine changed over 4 hours. I am glad I have another one in the cabinet.

4th Saturday Group brown bagger (M/M thelostverse) : Bright ruby color with an expressive bouquet featuring cherries, rose petals, lavender and wild phlox. Very pretty and elegant. Cherry and red fruit, mineral and floral notes on the palate with a long finish. Developed a strawberry note with more time in the glass. A beautiful glass of wine. 93-94 pts.

Opened for 4th Saturday group to gauge whether I would like to order any more of this. I do. Beautiful color in the glass with a clearness that I've seldom seen. The nose is expressive florals first and then red fruit that I can still smell days later. I would have been happy just smelling this wine over the evening. Similar palate eventually taking on more red fruits and earth. Drinking very well right now, but I think this will …
