Good fruit on the spicy, vanillic nose. The palate was full of rich, black, sweet fruit with spice, decent length, and smooth, soft tannins. It opened in the glass and savoury, meaty notes developed over an hour or two. Not an especially complex or sophisticated wine but it offered really rather good drinking with meat and cheese and, later, on its own. Very good value at Lidl for £6.99. Bottled under the Lidl Deluxe label (as in photo).

A bit sharp, well made but lacks the sophistication of a well-made Shiraz.
