Ancora giovane e pimpante. Tutto è come ce lo si aspetta, in un quadro di compostezza ed eleganza: dal colore scuro e impenetrabile, ai profumi di frutta nera matura e sotto spirito, al palato pieno e coerente, in debito forse di acidità e tannino. Bicchiere comunque ben fatto, non banale né anodino, capace di invecchiare molto bene.

4/5 - Opened and decanted about an hour before serving, showing its age and nearing an end, but this was still drinking very well. Aromas and flavours of tobacco, cherries, herbs. good structure, smooth tannins and acidity.

Interestingly this tastes cleaner than the previous bottle, though I'll admit I'm happier with a little farmyard complexity. Light but fresh and bright fruit on the nose, with some supporting green pepper, swirling brings greater depth to the fruit with blackcurrant to the fore. A little simple on the palate, with decent fruit with that green pepper accent, but no great complexity. Acidity is refreshing but not imposing and not much of the tannins left. Smooth, more ready to drink than most other aglianico I've had. A bit of herb on the front end, then a nice balance of red and dark fruit. Decent tannin and acidity balance. I'm not sure I'm getting as much acidity as some other notes suggest. Would buy again, but would need to do better than y the $20 I paid to get excited by it.

A much younger bottle than the previous one tasted. Medium garnet color. Expressive nose of red cherry, earth, coffee, leather, meaty and spicy scents. Medium-bodied with firm but fine-grained tannins nicely balanced by vibrant fruit and medium to high acidity. Long aftertaste. Great food wine and great value.

Fairly dark garnet. Expressive nose of damp earth, esspresso, leather, undergrowth and red cherry. Medium-bodied, savory, with soft tannins, rather high acidity and nicely evolved fruit that still retains its freshness. Medium to long aftertaste. Extremely food-friendly and a great value.

Deep red. Upon opening can't get beyond aroma of sweaty socks. After 1-2 hours opens to more plums and smoke. Taste more smoke, dried rasins, almost Amarone in character. Mild oak, mild tannins with a medium finish. Certainly something a bit different than what I am used to. I'm going to wait a few years before opening my other 2 bottles.

Pop up and pour. Nose of smoke sap and perhaps fruit. Mouth fresh (actually a bit green) with rustic tannins for the fruit. Finishing shortly on un slightly uncomfortable bitterness. Should improve with time but not to much.It is not a fine wine and needs some fat in your plate to be acceptable. Not good price/quality ratio. Twenty euros in France. I do agree with a previous taster : StefanAkiko : a bumpy structure for an everyday wine.
