Over the hill, but still worth drinking. Nice color, but quite flat, with no fruit left. Not built to last 15 years and didn't.

I have alway liked Marcelina and thought the quality for the price was a deal. Bought both 1997's and 1999's to cellar. This is the last of them and I opened it because it was at the top of the drinkability report. No worry there, plenty of stuff left here. Deep garnet, intense color, legs slow to form and showing plenty of structure. Dried Cherry, some menthol and cedar on the nose. Tasted of dark sweet fruit, smoke and wood, …

Drinking nicely. Dark fruit, cedar, earth notes. Lower in alcohol than most Napa cabs.

Exceptional Bottle. We found it while at vacation home. Bought and tasted originally in July 2005 for $18.00, as an exceptional buy as well. Bought 8 others since ranging from $19-$26. Very dense and full bodied yet still a velvet wine to drink. Deep color, soft start with full finish. 3 of 4 bottles opened exceptional, with one dissapointing drinking as only an average cab. Possible slight cork or oxidation. 5 to go and still held in high regard opening …

medium to full bodied cab without much pizzazz at all. Not impressive at this price point.

hugely concentrated. thick purple-black, ever so slight bricking at the rim. nose of blackberry, gardenias, graphite, tobacco, and cassis. medium to full bodied. smooth dark fruits with lots of fine tannins. complex. big finish. cons: odd vegetal quality, smelly graphite and a pile of sediment. i noticed the cork was somewhat brittle and as a result the wine may have been a tinge oxidized. nonetheless it passed the test right out of the bottle without aeration. this is an inexpensive …

WOW. Needs 1/2-1 hour to open up completely. Incredibly rich dense wine, with that velvety feel. Deep purple color and incredible nose. Full of casis, tobacco and berry. WOW.
