St. Andrea Áldás Egri Bikavér

Medium dark red color. Drank a glass with dinner at Vig Varyu in Budapest. I really enjoyed this wine. It had the complexity and composure of a well made noble wine. This is perfumed with an earthy that balances the dark fruits well; smoke, roasted tobacco, scorched earth, and dark fruits. The palate shows blackberry and black cherries, tart and well textured, medium full bodied, dried earth, gravel and spice.

Drank in Budapest restaurant , around $9 a glass,tannic but nice fruit, almost like a young Bordeaux from a lesser appellation , wife loved it , drank with beef goulash and pork tenderloin , would drink again, fun to try new wines.
