Starting to thin out, the lovely fruit that was present several years ago was missing from this bottle. Paired well with food as the acidity was still prominent but the remaining finish was lean let us say......

Well I let this one sit around too long. Brett has taken over and nothing enjoyable left beneath. Lesson learned: drink these younger, probably two years out.

A better bottle than one opened earlier this year. Easy drinking blend of Burgundy grapes. Florals on the nose (after you swirl off the initial funk), bright berry fruit, simple, easy to drink, nothing challenging. Not improved since my last tasting note back in 2012. Barnyard funk still evident but when it blew off much less fruit. Just ok now.

Dinner at Nathan's House (Nathan's House - Chicago, IL) : This was a really interesting wine. A blend of Gamay, Pinot, and Chardonnay, it had a very Burgundian nose with earth, barnyard and spice. The palate was super juicy - figuring the Gamay was really at work here - bright, and plush. Really liked the character of this wine...definitely a unique cuvee.

1 hr of air in bottle. cloudy light red in the glass. funk up front, then red berries & floral aromas. wonderful texture on the palate. fresh and juicy acidity. great wine.

A most interesting historical recreation, this Medieval blend from the 10th century includes Chardonnay and Gamay along with the Pinot Noir. Very nice, with a little barnyard funk that blew off quickly, and revealed strawberries, nice acids, fruits (all light) with a light mouth feel and decent finish. Got better as the evening went along - continued to open and flesh out. Yummy/tart. Not sure about the aging ability, I have 5 more bottles left so we will see. Stay …

Agree with the previous notes. This an incredible rendition of Gamay, and it's a shame to pop one now, despite being so good.. I think (?) this needs 4-5 years to really unfold given the structure, but it's still drinking very well now. Buy a 6-pack and follow them until 2020. Great stuff. 90-92

I wasn't around back in the days of yore when they were making partridge-eye Burgundies with a heavy dose of white grapes in the mix, but this is a damn plausible rendition of what those wines might've tasted like. It's got a whiff of old-school Burgundy barnyard on top of zingy wild-berry aromas and while it's too dark in hue to qualify as a rose (and also showing its best closer to red-wine temperature than white), it's got unmistakable white …

Tart cherries and raspberries. Prior taster's reference to a lambic-like nose is spot-on. Fruity, acidic, a little tannic, subtle and delicious. Excellent stuff.

This wine was outstanding. Though it pushes one's senses of what wine "should" taste like, it did so in an extremely enjoyable way. Has an almost sour, lambic-like nose and palate, but there are bright red cranberry notes, leather, and some earthy, minerally tones. Wish this made it to Boston.
