Watermelon and a bit tropical. There is a slightly savory note akin to an onion/garlic flavor but not unpleasant. Fresh and excellent texture.

Day 1: I was a little disappointed as it had that southern france nail polish thing (VA?) some rosés have. Strong fruity melon/watermelon vibe behind it. Day 2: More relaxed and nuanced. Nail polish thing faded to the background. Glad I put most of it away. And if you read this, maybe decant it or save some. (Had after two very nice riojas the first night, so weird sequence) 92% Touriga Nacional, 8% Trincadeira

Light pink and straightforward. Time hasn’t been especially kind to this bottle.

Two bottles opened tonight because 1 was corked. Providing pleasure, it is good to very good. Have had better rose recently. I may be transitioning away from this staple..0

last bottle… similar impressions as three months ago again at cellar temperature. hints of port red fruits wrapped in bright tanginess on a chalky base; fresh and with good length.

[consumed at cellar temperature] pale salmon colour. moderately expressive in nose and palate with raspberry and strawberry with red blossoms and subtle sweet herbs. dry, with silky light body and plus acidity. the bubblegum notes of its youth have developed to tart guava that is accented by white pepper and pith in the moderately long finish.

Pale salmon in the glass. Fruit-driven with nice acidity on the palate to put accent on the fruit. Balanced, but pretty simple. A slight boost from a Provencal rosé.

Light body. More like a white wine. Good for pre-dinner wine. Not overly interesting but the bottle was consumed.

Checked back in on this one after a few months. Unfortunately it’s not going to get any better. I regret not buying the Charles Joguet 2023 rose instead argh!! Check that one out. Very good this vintage.

Some bottle variation here. Previous two were chemical, flabby, no fruit. However, These two were typical of the profile and delicious, although still a step down from when they were 100% touriga. Maybe just the northern lights influenced……

Not your sister-in-law’s boxed Rose. This is a bit more serious. Another “Tracker” called it “heft”. Totally agree. Definitely strawberries, Georgia peach, and maraschino cherries on the nose. Maybe some melon? Weighty in the mouth, but with nice acids to balance. Finishes a touch green. Nice but not my favorite.

The Arnot-Roberts Rose 2022 is a delightful wine with a vibrant, pink hue that hints at its robust character. The aroma is enticing, with notes of fresh strawberries, peaches, and a subtle hint of rose petals. On the palate, it is wonderfully balanced, with a refreshing acidity that complements its fruit-forward flavor profile. The finish is long and satisfying, with a lingering taste of summer fruits.

Some small tartrate crystals presented on cork and in wine. Strawberry and red fruit, but quite light overall. Quaffable.

Petit Crenn (Hayes Valley, San Francisco) : Nose: White and pink florals, light grass and soils, sweet and light raspberries, and white gooseberries without any of that funk they usually have. Palate: Bitter red flower petals, bitter light minerals in a low running creek, and subtle fresh fruits. Lithe, bitter and floral. Don't expect too much.

First rosé of the year. Translucent light pink-orange. Fragrant herbal melon. Not as precise as this sometimes is, with less acidity but more heft and softly textured. Some faded melon and salinity.

The cork had a small collection of wine diamonds. Eye: Light to medium copper. Nose: Red berries, light cream note. Slight petrol note. The nose is pretty muted. Palate: Crisp acidity. Strawberries and cream. Light strawberry. Some green apple. Finish: Medium length. Watermelon candy, citric acid. Overall: It’s like Tavel without garrigue.

Coravin sample. Color pale salmon. Nose has some peach with a whiff of sulfites. Swishing shows acid structure but super slippery fruit and a med length finish. Sipping shows same with that same matchstick wang. Disappointing compared to last vintage I think. I kept the bottle in fridge after coravin and opened it tonight. The sulfites on the nose are improved but it is still on the palate. Last vintage was a no brainer. This one I poured half of …

Pale pink salmon in color. Full, forward & attractive nose of ripe fruit aromas of strawberries, stone fruits, & watermelon with overtones of floral & mineral notes, herbs, some orange rind & wet stones in the background. Light bodied with a good concentration of well balanced & smooth textured, crisp, ripe fruit flavors of fresh strawberries, cranberries & citrus with minerals & a hint of salinity. Lingering finish. Drinks quite well at present although might improve with an additional year …

PnP, chilled. Color was a pale salmon pink. Some darker red fruits on the nose which carried over to the medium bodied palate, with light touches of orange, melon and herbs, and with balanced acidity. May be better as a warm day sipper than with food. Should hold until next summer.
