Best petite Syrah we’ve had in a long time! Still so much body and flavor!

Slo-oxed for 20 minutes to allow the wine to open. A dark purple in the glass. The medium to plus bodied palate is filled with dark red and some black fruit, spice, balancing acidity, and just a touch of tannin on the finish. Better than we expected from this producer - but not quite as good as their 2012. Might hold for another couple of years.

Inky, dark wine, medium tannins, soft mouthfeel, dark purple and blue fruit profile. A lot of sediment, so stand the bottle up a day or so prior to drinking.

Slo-oxed for 20 minutes, but the wine continued to integrate during our dinner, so give it more air. The color was a deep dark purple. Black fruits and chocolate on the nose. The medium to plus bodied palate showed lots of black, blue and some dark red fruits, along with cassis and chocolate. The acidity was vibrant, but balancing, with a slight touch of tannins on the finish. This wine could hold for another year, or two, or maybe even …

Deep red color, falling-off-the-tree-ripe plummy nose, heavy red fruit on the palate tilting towards raisin.

Juicy with just enough support. Red and dark fruits dominate. Very pleasant on pop and pur - did not make it to a second day but I would suspect this one begs to be finished on day 1.

Dark color. Leather, tobacco and cassis. Syrupy. Short finish. Could improve with age. Look forward to trying again in a few years. A great value for $30.

Round and grippy, with blueberry on nose and palette. Medium finish in terms of taste but long finish in terms of texture. Pleasant with food and by itself.

While still very young, this wine presents intense currant and black cherry to the tongue, with a rich, viscous mouth feel. This well benefit well from a couple more years in the cellar. The wine looks inky colored. The legs are slow. There is light sediment in the bottle.
