Rather dark color. Aromas of light red berries and red apples. Full bodied, with a lot of sweet fruit. Quite impressive.

I still don't really care for this. Of course, if I didn't like a rose last year, finding it too fat and round and dark, I'm unlikely to enjoy it more this year. Still, while I've liked Chidaine's entry level wines in the past, this is likely one I'll avoid in the future.

Divino Wine Tasting Party (Foveaux Street, Surry Hills) : Red berries, savoury, juicy, tangy, a little burr, super simple.

Dang I love this wine. Gorgeous, unusual cherise robe that reminds me Cerasuolo d’Abruzzo. MB, bone dry yet lovely, curvaceous mouthfeel and acid/tannin balance. Lots of fresh red berries, especially strawberry. So versatile- able to pair nicely with surf and turf. Winner, winner Loire Valley winer.

Floral and fruity, lots of ripe red fruits, a clear cherry note, sweet citrus, pithy and herbal notes too. Super juicy upfront, with an intense acid line and buried minerality to keep it fresh and crisp. Silky texture, and a long fruity finish featuring nuances of exotic spice, resinous herbs, citrus pith and blossoms. Should gain complexity and depth with a year in the bottle, but almost all of it will be gulped this summer. No big deal, as it …
