Black and red berry aromas and flavors with plenty of baking spice, a touch of cherry liqueur, and a bit more cherry cola than I’d prefer. Very good concentration and depth.

The 2019 Patricia Green Mysterious is drinking well already, offering up aromas of red fruit but also tea, spice, and flowers, with the addition of sassafras and kirsch on the palate. Acids, alcohols, fruit, and tannin are all in perfect balance, and the finish is persistent. If you have multiple bottles, you won't regret cracking one open today, but the real fun will start in 2-5 years and last through the mid-2030s.

P&P: Dark ruby red; nose closed ,still primary, but does show blackberry/dark plum notes; on the palate same fruit with pomegranate flavors beginning to show; very full bodied; alc restrained; at this young age could be a good ringer for a sophisticated (not rustic) Syrah; smooth med long finish. This is a very young wine, while fun to taste now , won't show it's stuff for 15-20 more years. very good juice!

Much better than the bottle I had last year. The nose is dark red fruit. The palate is dark cherry, plums, rose petal and spices. The finish was moderate to long.

With Ryan A wonderful nose. Deeply floral with cool fruit coupled with loamy and herbal tones. Terrific perfume. On the palate, this has Grand Cru depth and breadth. Iron fist in a velvet glove. More of the same cool fruit with some umami kelp like and loamy notes that add to a greater whole with terrific textural addition from the stem inclusion. Fantastic.

Probably too young. Decent but uninspiring.

PNP drank over the evening. I have been hoping this entry level bottling might be more accessible young, but they aren’t doing it for me. Raspberry, some noticeable oak. Well made, just not exciting. This will get better with time, but if I’m going to cellar these, its worth the step up to the Estate and the other SVDs.

This was the real star of the tasting as it shows off deep and meditative tones of raspberries, dark red cherries, plums, crushed rocks, violets, fresh herbs, rose petals, berries, and some wild flowers. This shows off a lot of depth and polish with excellent layering already. The Medium bodied feel is plush and silky with crisp, medium+ acidity and youthful, medium+ tannins. The structure is still fairly youthful, and it is in need of at least a few years …

At winery. Nose red cherries, with some blackberries hiding behind. Taste of tangy pomegranate, blackberries with pretty strong oak overpowering the fruit at the back.

Tasting at PGC Loamy stemmy and floral on the nose. Deep and broad. This has Grand Cru density and power but with an equally graceful, effortless feel to it. I love the textural stem feel to this. A drop dead serious wine that made me think of Dujac Bonnes Mares. Fantastic.

A bit too hot for me, but then also quite peppery and full.

Darker color than a typical pinot with legs. berry, forest floor, petroleum nose bounded by some citrus. A little closed. Very berry and cherry flavored with a pleasing medium acidity backbone. The heat of the alcohol does punch through in the aftertaste. Pretty light in body. A little stone hiding in the back. You might drink this while reading a mystery novel. Pretty good. I rate it 90 gf rates it 92. 91 overall.

Drank with 17 Eyrie and 17 Goodfellow ribbon ridge, least favorite of the night. More fruit forward with higher levels of oak led to a more flavorful first sip but quickly became tedious.

Lots of VA at first, largely blows off and becomes quite drinkable. 86ish after 3 hours.

Cherry, red berries and subtle oak. Somewhat ripe tannins, certainly could use more bottle age.

Delicious, fresh, tangy, oregon Pinot. Slightly sweet, cherries, currants. Keeps me coming back for more.
