A not too pretentious bubbly to bring in 2025. Inviting pale yellow with a good bead. A bit of orchard fruit, apple and ripe apricot that deliver notes of sweetness initially. Nothing cloying or persistent. Relatively simple, but still enjoyable and a perfect finish to the night.

It’s better than expected. It is sweet and then tart. Apple is the flavor. I wonder if the sweetness dosage might be a little more than enough to appeal to my taste. It’s like when you have Splenda. At first, you like the sweetness but when the sweet punch resides, bitterness remains. Again, this is actually quite enjoyable. I am just nitpicking. Would drink again.

Classic champagne; nose is golden with orchard fruits, chalk, hint of lemon peel. Palate is nice and lively, more chalk and lemons with a hint of honey and yellow apples. Not life-changing but very solid, especially for the $50 or so I paid for it

Regge bene anche qualche grado di temperatura in più, anzi sembra esprimersi meglio, evidenziando una discreta struttura, profumi di agrumi, di frutta bianca e di lieviti dolci, ma anche echi di tostatura e di frutti rossi. Gradevole.

Yellow just starting to turn gold. Fine mousse. Nose of Golden apples, yeast, and custard. Apples, streusel, and meyer lemon in the mouth with a creamy mouthfeel. Held up well in the fridge for a day. Pleasant but a bit simple.

From the back label: 100% pinot meunier; aged for 18-24 months; dosage 7-9g/l. No disgorgement date specified. Like Skurtz I was a little surprised to find an initial sweetness on opening, but also found that this quickly subsided a bit. The nose is clean, slightly yeasty, a hint of sweet apple (like a cider). The palate has hints of tart apples, but to me tastes unusually thin, lacking weight or complexity. The finish is on the bitter end of tart. …

En intetsägande doft som stryker en medhårs utan att förtjäna applåder. Munkänslan är inte så balanserad men trots allt angenäm med syran i finishen. Ett vin som jag tycker om utan att älska.

Very good q/p champagne, the 2008 is confirming to be a great vintage. Zests, yeast, nice fine and creamy bubbles , with more time can reach easily 91 points for me.

I'm not sure why but my impression of this champagne seems to be higher than previous reviewers. I tried this orginally at Garth's, liked it, and then picked up some bottles for my daughter's wedding reception. I was admittedly a little nervous after reading previous reviews but I guess they have higher expectations from sparkling wine. To me this is great party wine. Admittedly it is supposed to be dry, and instead has a hint of fruity sweetness, immediately after …

A blend of Chardonnay, Pinot Meunier and Pinot Noir. Aged in a combination of stainless steel and oak barrels. The wine undergoes MLF. Medium-deep yellow-green color. Attractive, complex nose of autolytic toast, nuttiness, some creamy panna cotta, a little bit of smoke and light appley tones. The wine is lively, fresh and acid-driven on the palate with quite complex flavors of nuttiness, autolytic brioche, some stony minerality, a little bit of creamy richness, a little bit of ripe citrus fruits …

Charpentier is a small company part of Vignerons Indépendants founded in 1974 in Villers-sous-Châtillon. The brand was created after the marriage of Jacky Charpentier and Claudine Claisse, both first child of two landowners in the Champagne region. Most of the vineyards are located on the right side of Marne Valley, on chalk. Pinot Meunier is the main product of the valley. Tradition Brut is the entry level, composed mostly by Meunier, with some traces of pinot noir. Chardonnay, if present, …

Light yellow color. More yeast than fruit on the nose. Good bubbles. Nice taste at first but did not have long finish. Basic champagne but not overly memorable.
