Double decanted back into bottle half hour before NY Steak dinner. Nose: Beautiful florals and blackberry, mixed with French Oak spices. Color: Dark red, just see through at rim. Palate: Captivating dark fruits, graphite, earth, layered in with tongue drying tannins on a long finish. This is the beauty of the 2018 Napa Cabernet vintage. Wines that are solid with balanced fruit, acidity and ripe tannins that age years in bottle. Drink or hold.

6 months since last bottle. Had and Sara at Jorge new house. Splash decant. Had with grilled chicken thighs. Very nice and open for business. Crowd pleasing even with the 15% alc. Great aromatics, you get a big mouhthful of tasty fruit, good mouthfeel, and a med+ finish. 50% new french oak. Its more feminine/elegant and not over the top at all. This was a nice bottle.

2 hour decant. Had with beef tenderloin, steakhouse mushrooms, glazed carrots and warm chewy breadand kerry gold butter. RHBAN12's Notes in earleir review are spot on for this bottle and more articulate than mine below. Deep magenta. Sticky legs, stained the sides of the glasvin decanter. Minimal aromatics and a bit of alcohol on the sniffy sniff. I went ahead and served it with a bit of a chill as I thought it may be too round due the alcohol …

Splash decant, back to bottle, followed for a 3-4h. Needs a few hours to get into stride. Anyone know the alleged source of this? Nose is a little quiet. Teasing out cedar, red currants, minty/eucalyptus as prior note suggests. Palate is rather quiet despite being medium-full bodied. I do get some leathery/savory notes that covers ripe cherries and sun-dried red fruit. The finish shows fresh dark red fruit paste/leather, some very subtle oaky notes, and sweet red earth. I feel …

Outstanding Napa Cab. Good balance between the fruit and earthy notes. Long finish with nice tannins and not overly dry.

Just a solid Napa Cab that is sure to satisfy. Not too flashy, but a crowd pleaser.

Disclaimer; I'm opening this wine 2-3 months early, before bottle shock waiting time recommended by De Negoce. Poured after 1 hour decant. Great classic notes of forest floor, mint, eucalyptus, cedar box and black cherries. On the palate, things get a little backwards. Some tannin up front, but nothing rolled back over the tongue, it just fizzled out. That being said, plush and mouthwatering with plenty of aging potential. Excuse the innuendo but similar to rounding 2nd or 3rd base …
