have had this before, but then I had nothing to compare it to. This time I put it up against the 2005 Le Vin Matin for the same money. This was inexpensive, but tastes that way. Even for $10 you can do better that this. Thin and lacks flavor. Closer to grape juice than wine.

Not worth the $15. Mediocre in all directions.

Alcohol not wel integrated with wine. Overwhelming on the nose. Was consistent though over 2 days. Disappointed but was drinkable

Enjoyable, but simple for the money. (at WL I paid about $15 on special down from almost $20 regularly). I put this into the category of a basic French table wine that one might be served at lunch. Not bad, but not complex enough to keep my interest. Admittedly on the front end, this has a decent nose and a flavorful front end, unfortunately that's the best part and it falls off a cliff from there. Mid-to-back palette shows nothing …

I believe this may be my first Bordeaux, or if not, my first Bordeaux worth remembering. Brick red in the glass with a big, lush nose of berries. Very barnyard-like, even after an initial decant of two hours. I'd never tasted this component before, but is certainly identifiable once displayed! Revisited after a day and found most of the funk blown off, and more cherry and spice notes, with a backbone of earth and mushrooms. I don't know that I'd …

The note from jsimmons captures it very well. For this bottle we P&P and served immediately, which meant that the bouquet was primarily barnyard funk, sticks and clay, and little else. On the palate this is very austere with cherries while tomato, bitter herbs, earth, and green pepper dominate. Very dry, and when combined with the fact that the tannins are earthy on top of minerals in the finish, this cries out for food. Finish is short and mildly unpleasant …

A well-made and elegant right-banker for the price. Pours a translucent burgundy, exactly the color one would expect, fading to rose on the rim. After a few hours of breathing (which is an absolute necessity - it was painfully funky and closed on opening), the nose shows a very dusty and herbaceous profile, with a spicy dried twig component reminiscent of sassafras, backed by a sort of lazy fruitiness - maybe cherries, and a little toastiness as well. On the …
