Asked Erica for more notes, but leased by Ken Pahlow starting in 2011. He has been farming it by organic methods starting in 2014, but 2016 was last vintage. End of night ringer so note is brief, but this was Cedar and gently fermenting strawberries and Excellent. Feels at peak now. Find more.

Definitely showing quite advanced secondary/tertiary notes. Initial read was this was flat and lacking structure, but with bottle air, yes it's soft, but it's still retains freshness. Color looks pretty advanced with an orange tint. Nose seems fine, still some red fruit here, opens a bit after 30 minutes. Tannins fully resolved; mineral on the palate, iron into the finish; some dried red fruit notes, bit of burnt smoke.

perfectly mature and drinking at its pinnacle. It was just a tad ripe for me with just the subtlest hints of raisins. Lovely balance, acidity, etc... just the profile for me wasn't in my wheelhouse.

This is wonderfully mature and still energetic, red and black fruited with lots of earthy, savory material adding interest. A couple glasses saved overnight showed a little more leather and spice. In an ideal spot, really. It seems spiritually closer to Ribbon Ridge than Eola-Amity Hills, darker, richer and less mineral. Killer pairing with grilled lamb chops from a farm in Scio, located just southeast of this AVA.

Quite nice. Big style, especially for Oregon. More black cherry than red. Not quite as complex as I'd like, but still quite good.

A good Oregon Pinot on the sweeter side of the scale. Feminine in style with intense aromas of rose petal. Soft palate with notes of sweet cherry and slight vanilla that finishes long.

Seemed this bottle was a bit off. Not the typical solid PN from Walter Scott.

The most classic Oregonian pinot I've had in a long time, the way most of them tasted back in the 80's--all violets and plums. Rich, opulent fruit shows well on first pour--no decant required, but silky tannins should support cellaring for another 3-5 years.

Popped and poured. Darker fruit aromas and palate. Plush and voluptuous are excellent descriptors used before to characterize this wine. Delicious. For me, it bridges the gap between AFWE and Cali or RRV style. Definitely in the 2012 vintage style and theme. Its ready now and benefits from a decant. Not sure about its ability to age long-term... but IMO should provide excellent work for at least next 5-7 years. FYI: These owners and winemakers are two of the nicest …

SALONE DEL GUSTO 2014; 10/26/2014-10/30/2014 (LINGOTTO FIERE TORINO) : Suolo vulcanico ciottoloso.

This is well done and well made. I agree that this will get much better with time. 2012 is definitely a bigger, more voluptuous vintage and it shows in this bottle. Definitely "leaning" towards the RRV-style side of things.

A solid well made wine that is going to get better with age. An hour decanting was no where near enough. An extremely well made pinot. An extremely flavorful wine but one that is on the the light side.

Dark for 2011 which was a pleasant surprise. Good complexity on the nose, mostly ripe red fruits and earthy aromas with hints of tobacco. Fresh and youthful on the palate with bright acidity and light, yet grippy tannin structure. The mouth feel is very 2011. It's light and easy drinking with good acidity and somewhat lower tannin. Initially I was finding this a bit too hollow and delicate, but it has fleshed out considerably with air time. If I had …

Dark berries, cranberry and dark earth aromas on the nose. Smells really good. Dense on the palate, nice intensity and texture. Again flavors tending toward darker red fruit with a tart edge, cherries, raspberries and cranberry. Underlying dark earthy richness that I am unable to put pinpoint. Bright acids provide some lift to the finish and tannins that come in very late. My friend thought this was tight while I was finding it open, oddly. Overall, it's great wine, one …
