M�ller-Catoir Mu�bacher Eselshaut Riesling Kabinett trocken

For Nick's birthday! He said he wanted to drink riesling, so riesling he got. Always delicate, with quiet grace. A whispering wine.

Tasted across two days. Lovely on the first day with root vegetable soup with lemon and dill and on the second day with chicken paprikash. I'm still getting the hang of anticipating what these kabinett trockens and spaet-trockens, etc. will offer, but very pretty. Worked wonderfully with the delicate dill accents in the root veggie soup.

Definitely does not taste fully dry. Sunny, yet as delicate as I've come to expect from Mueller-Catoir. Pleasant, relatively soft mouthfeel. Yes, there's a healthy level of acid, but compared to many other dry rieslings significantly less. Nice, but in between stages I think at the moment.

Hazy notes - sipped on this while making dinner. In the citrus fruit realm, not too dry (for a tracken), and lots of minerals on the medium bodied palate. A nice but but outstanding kabinett trocken - went well with food (salmon). I'd drink this pretty soon (B+)
