This wine needs time. It is going to be great in a couple of years.

This wine has four bronze and two silver medals from regional and Australia/New Zealand competitions on the label. Nice casual wine. Big nose of purple plums when opened. Poured straight away. Dark purple in the glass with thick syrupy swirls. On the palette one is overwhelmingly struck by smoke and charred oak. There is fruit in there with the sweet purple plums. It was good with an eggplant parmesan.
