Pretty salmon, pink color. Little nose, which I at first found concerning but then disappointing. The palate is vibrant enough with solid acidity and strawberry notes. For the low price, its a solid, easy glass. Not knocking your socks off but not flawed either. Just easy drinking. *Stopped and refrigerated for two days, and I like the wine much more. Maybe my mood is different, maybe the wine is leaner, more balanced and enjoyable. Ill go with the latter. An …

APPEARANCE: Clear and lemon in color, with pale intensity. Bubbles were observed. NOSE: Clean, with light intensity. This is a simple wine, with floral (honeysuckle), green fruit (apple), citrus fruit (lemon) and stone fruit (peach) aromas. PALATE: Off-dry. Low alcohol. Body is light, with aggressive mousse and light flavor intensity. Short finish. CONCLUSIONS: This wine is of acceptable quality.

Solid sparkler. Plenty of bubbles and bread note. I love it for the price. You know what you are getting.

This is a “get what you pay for” wine. Marked down from $18 to $9. Not much there. Not flawed, but not interesting. I’m planning to use for a blending wine for our Christmas cocktail.

Standard, pretty pink color. Very light aroma of sea spray and strawberries with a hint of rotten apple. Front end of the palate is pleasant, not too sweet and has some chalk and minerals in the structural backbone. There’s even enough acidity to not feel limp, but some of the awkwardness of the bouquet multiplies on the palate to bring this back into “wedding wine” territory. It serves its purpose. 5+8+12+7= 82

The Eighth Annual World's Largest Blind Tasting of American Sparkling Wine (Houston, Texas) : Retail $24. Extremely Heavy Bottle (851g; 30.0oz). 80% Pinot Noir, 20% Chardonnay. Slightly darker orangeish pink with a very subtle nosebarely anything perceptible. The palate is more expressive with good fruit (strawberry) with good balance and just a delightful quaff. Crushable (a slightly higher dosage?). Excellent. 92 Points. www.thedrunkencyclist.com

The Eighth Annual World's Largest Blind Tasting of American Sparkling Wine (Houston, Texas) : Retail $24. Extremely Heavy Bottle (852g; 30.0oz). 45% Chardonnay, 45% Pinot Noir, 10% Pinot Gris & Pinot Meunier. Pale straw with a medium bubble and a shy nose. Not much here to smell other than a bit of a metallic aspect. The palate is another story, with good fruit, a touch of sweetness (but still definitely a brut), nice balance, and a lengthy finish. Really nice …

This stuff used to be good and this will be a wine disrupted. Tastes like a Cook's Sparkling wine. No fruit showing with some spice and floral notes. Wow is the is garbage. Can't believe anyone would pay $16 for this.

Rich and creamy with perfect sparkling bubbles. Peach and citrus. Nicely thirst quenching and mouth coating without being overly acidic. The finish has perfect balanced acid and peachy fruit that lingers for minutes.

Retail $24. Extremely Heavy Bottle (851g; 30.0oz). 80% Pinot Noir, 20% Chardonnay. Clearing this out of the cellar as the other-in-law is no longer able to drink. A solid domestic sparkler for years, this was as well. Excellent. 90 Points. www.thedrunkencyclist.com

Retail $25. Extremely Heavy Bottle (867g; 30.5oz). 76% Pinot Noir, 22% Chardonnay. 2% Pinot Meunier. We bought a few of these for when the father-in-law comes over and wants "champagne". Well, he no longer drinks (at least for now). Good thing this is a good quaff. Excellent. 91 Points. www.thedrunkencyclist.com

Man has this fallen apart. While the Roederer Anderson Valley remains the best domestic sparkler for the money this has become a disaster. Light and short finish. Sour apple, chalk and spice. Not much going on here and this is the best of their lineup which is concerning.

Wedding wine haul : Nose shows a gentle ripeness of light red fruits, orange slices thats been sitting out for a while and has dried a bit. Palate shows gently ripe red fruits, dark colored fruits but its intensity is gentle. The fruit lingers onto the finish. Nothing too rough, fine bubbles, not frothy surprisingly.

Honey suckle and peaches on the nose. The soft flavors unfold on the palate surrounded by effervescence that unleashes the fullness of its flavors, including peach, strawberry, and lilacs.

Retail $25. Extremely Heavy Bottle (847g; 29.8oz). 76% Pinot Noir, 22% Chardonnay. 2% Pinot Meunier. This was on sale at my local H-E-B (I love my H-E-B) and I picked up six for when the in-laws stop by (so it might last a week?). Always a solid wine at a reasonable price, this is quite fruity with tons of strawberry and cherry all over the place with enough tartness to hold it all together. Very Good. 89 Points. www.thedrunkencyclist.com

My first and only other note for this was almost 17 years ago: 3/13/2008 - I WROTE: (Edit) 86 Points Light-medium straw. Pear and apple with hints of lemon and cashew. Medium dryness and a nice crisp palate, free from astringency. French has more finesse, but this isn't bad from Napa. (4+11+15+6) = 86 This one may as well have been the same bottle, it is so alike. Cheers to consistency

I can take it or leave it... It's "wedding wine". To its credit, nothing off-putting or sticking out, but it could use a boost of intensity and backbone (acidity & minerality) to make it more interesting. I figure if I drink this twice more in my lifetime, that should be about right. 4+8+13+7= 82
