What a great find for $10! Just like the name...a little silk, a little spice. A great blend of Portuguese varietals, not something you get to try everyday. A great value for everyday drinking!

Sat, 06/20/20, $2 Tasting (Vintage Wines Ltd., San Diego, CA) : N: RIPE berries with notes of choc? P: Med body; RNDISH entry with NICE, ALMOST swtish frt (approaching threshold R.S.?) met by a bit of astringent pucker which quite works itself out by the fairly LONG, balanced finish with a tangy/swtness to the fairly unoffensive, dusty tannins. For now with food, then drinking through '22. Nicely done in its style! 14% ABV; My VG+/EXC-. 91 pts & “Best Buy” …

A tasty fruit bomb with enough complexity to satisfy my expectations especially the mocha hint. This blend of various grapes is delicious, unpretentious and a great value for everyday consumption.

its a bit confected for me, over 3 nights, interesting blend,40% Touriga Nacional, 20% Baga, 20% Syrah, 20% Alicante Bouschet ,14%,6months amer.oak, reminds me a bold macro zin blend in the best ways, and maybe some of not so appealing aspects,not a fan

More full bodied than the 2016 vintage with 1% more alcohol. Dark mahogany in color, this wine reveals plum, blackberry, tobacco and black licorice on the nose. The mouth feel has firm, rich tannins yet comes across as approachable. The finish was medium/long with balanced fruit, acidity and tannins. 14% abv. Purchased for $12US, this is an outstanding value at this price point. Imported by Evaton, Inc., Stamford, CT.

color: medium-dark purple; nose: cherry with a touch of vanilla; taste: medium-bodied mouth feel, smooth fruit-forward taste, medium-length finish with back pepper notes, mild tannins; overall: easy-to-like weeknight pour, not overly sweet, very good QPR ($10/bottle at Joe Canal in Lawrence NJ), paired well with pan-seared salmon and would be good on its own, ready to drink as of March 2019 and for another couple of years.

Too sweet for my taste, thin with no apparent body, taste is like a fruit juice, this is a real disappointment. The wine looks inky colored. The legs are medium. There is light sediment in the bottle. It smells like strawberry and raspberry. It tastes like berries and black currant (cassis). The body is light. The wine has juicy texture. The wine finishes short. The wine has low acidity.
