Ripe peach, slightly nutty, a hint of oxidation but nothing distracting

Golden in color, and well into its golden years, the wine offered a remembrance of things past - the perfumed nose now more parfum grandmere than fruit, youthful acidity having given way to an oxidative, but not musty, slightly bitter taste. And yet, it still held itself - fascinating - not going softly into this good night. Anyone who is still holding should drink up, with caution. Rating - irrelevant.

Third note on this wine, but the first in 23 months. Darker now, heading toward a more golden hue from the original light yellow. Still vibrant and firm. Now showing tart green pear and lemon with a mineral background. The green vegatable edge noted nearly two years ago still lingers on the finish, but is so faint as to not be as offputng. Interesting development, a bit expensive for what you get, but no reason to rush to finish these …

I have had 4 badly oxidized bottles over the last two years. I was giving up on this case , so I opened a bottle to try to make wine sauce ... It was delicious. Crisp , fresh , citrus &nectarine w/ a mineral &stone backbone... Go figure

Popped and poured. Deep color, medium gold - showing just a bit of age. Very toasted, creamy, apricot nose. Similar on the palate with a hint of a sherry note. Full bodied, good acidity, fine balance. The only reservation that I have with this is that this is the third bottle we've opened and there's been considerable variation. 3/5

7 months after first bottle and if anything going the wrong way. Still light yellow and showing firm minerals, but picking up some buttered green vegetable notes I do not care for. Clean but short finish

Comme un très bon meursault.

Crisp and flinty in style. Light weight in the mouth and relativly light pale yellow color. Clean somewhat tart finish. Certainly old world in style.
