Pintxos and antipasti spanish and italian textural whites (Prince Sydney, 40 Hansard Street) : More earthy and mineral than the first wine. The briny note is more pronounced and joined by a little sulphur, the fruit is quite muted beneath this showing touches of peaches and citrus. In the mouth it's juicy, savoury with slightly sharp acidity which is re-enforced by more forward citrus notes backed by mineral wet stone and briny elements. Begs fresh seafood in a fishing village …

From Rías Baixas but not able to bottle using the DO. 13% alcohol. Very nice albariño. Fresh, clean, mineral and perfect with my Cantabrian anchoas. Plenty tasty, but not especially thought-provoking without food in front of it, which is my probably my only issue with albariño generally speaking. At Bagos.
