Good balance of sweetness and acidity. Medium dark yellow color, yellow pear flavors, and slick mouthfeel

Undrinkable. Smelled of apricots and caramel but tasted thoroughly oxidized and unhealthy. Nasty looking brown sludge.

Waited too long to drink it. Brown color, very little acidity, raisin flavor. Can taste touch of oxidation.

Enjoyed this with torchon & white fig/almond confit and it was delicious. We pulled it from the cellar at 55 degrees and allowed it to warm up sipping on it. It really opens up the flavors the warmer it gets. I know some may not like desert wines not chilled but it really changes the flavors. The luscious light syrup consistency and citrus and floral notes on the nose are lovely. Deep yellow gold color. Initial sip is sweet, then …

Well past the time that this should have been consumed. Had turned brown. Still was a pleasure of a dessert wine.

Man, this is good. Super nice to taste this vidal icewine next to a German riesling and Austrian welschriesling eiswein. The vidal is a hybrid between European and American vines (ugni blanc and seibel) that has a thick skin suitable for harvesting late in the season. Medium+ intense aromas of apple syrup, lots of apple syrup, fig, raisin, wet iron, lemon, orange, and slightly oxidative tones. Sweet wine, high acidity, full body, pronounced flavour intensity, long finish. 10,5% - serve …

Almost as thick as the syrup in a can of peaches. The aroma was of peach drink. A strong taste of pear with a very long aftertaste. This would be delicious with vanilla ice cream and some canned pears and peaches. I tried some Swiss cheese a few minutes after finishing this, and it's the Vidal that I taste afterward. Definitely one to buy again.

Again from a 100ml. It’s nice and easy little dessert wine. Good and sweet. I think I like the other two (Riesling and CF) a bit more, but this is easy enough.

3.75/5 Had to taste test with Kurt’s Panettone. Delicious flavor, body was a bit too “thick”/cloying. Needed more acidity to be more in balance. For this price, excellent, enjoy a good Sauterne more. First time for an Inniskillin. Looking forward to trying the 2004 to compare to this one.

Disappointing. Very little depth or complexity. Almost like it was watered down. Drinkable but below expectations. Past it’s prime perhaps.

Medium gold colored. The palate is honey and some tart green apples. Soft mouthfeel and lacking enough acidity to counterbalance the copious amount of sugar. Best consumed in small quantities.

Delicious! Richly sweet. Purchased at the store in Niagara-on-the-Lake, on a trip to the Shaw Festival. It's a wonderful little town, well worth a visit. You can combine winery visits with theatre experiences.

Sparkling and Champagne (Amy and Scott's house) : Great icewine. It is quite sweet, but the acid keeps it balanced. Great tropical and citrus flavors. Quite rich. One small small pour was plenty for me.

This was following an 18.5% Aussie Shiraz so we were all in a pretty happy place at this point in the evening. It was a lovely refreshing change from the wine before. I don't think of the Vidal as quite as light and airy as some of the other varietals, but in comparison that was how it felt. Excellent soft, sweet, white fruits and flowers. Great counterbalance.

Very big notes of apricots on the nose and palate. Wonderfully delicious. Had this been tasted on it's own, it might have gotten a higher score. The legs are medium. There is moderate sediment in the bottle. The body is medium. The wine has smooth texture. The wine finishes medium. The wine has medium acidity.

Highly aromatic nose of apricot, honey, and orange peel. The palate is medium-bodied and sweet with a slightly chalky mouthfeel and delicious aroma replays. Acidity is quite good and shows good balance. Slight tartness on the lengthy finish with hints of orange marmalade. A joy to sip!

Wow! I thought I had left this way too long but on opening this tonight, what a very pleasant surprise. I was concerned by the dark amber colour on pouring, but should not have been. Aromas of fig, orange, toffee backed up by an amazingly rich and complex taste of candied fruits, honey. Wonderful with foie gras starter........

Thick, luscious golden liquid fragrant with honey, apples, and pears. It tastes of pineapple, honey, and pears. It has a nice acidity that keeps the sweetness from cloying.

This is a very consistent ice wine. I have had several times and made the mistake of serving it this time slightly warmer than appropriate. Nevertheless still enjoyable and was contrasted against a vintage port which was fun.

Dark amber. Intense scents of candied quince and grape suryp, caramel, honey in the nose. Less thick than expected in the mouth with balancing acidity; not cloying at all, on the contrary sugars are balanced by some bitternesss which is more pronounced towards the end. Not that complex but perfectly enjoyable

Judgement of Chicago (Nomi) : Tasted blind alongside D'Yquem which really wasn't fair to this. Strong notes of aprocots on both the nose and palate, almost over the top. Still delicious. Had this been tasted on it's own, it would have gotten a higher score. But once tasting the D'Yquem, it didn't have a chance.
