Sutton Cellars Merlot

Notes consistant with last bottle but this one showed even more structure, and was the best and regrettably, my last bottle of this.

Very nice merlot from Carl Sutton (and this is his low end) that has held up well with time. Nose: Dark blackberries, cassis, and a little dust. Palate: Almost sweet, upfront fruit of blackberries and a hint of cherry. Despite the copious fruit levels this is not over the top. Very nice wine for the money.
