A lot of depth and concentration but in a more refined package compared to the Moncerbal and Las Lamas of the same vintage. This one too has the leathery dark tones delivered with a punch but with silk gloves. A treat to taste at 290 euros since the current price is substantially higher. In any case very interesting producer and substantial wines.

My WOTD. If there is an easy and obvious comparison, Bierzo is the burgundy to Priorats Bordeaux (or possibly Rhone)
