A Tasting of Five Merlots : Very French in style - including the old sock smell right after opening the bottle! That aside (it cleared up quickly), well balanced and soft, with a backbone of tobacco and blackberry. At $18 per bottle, this was the price performer of the night. Wish I had bought more.
