Comme un bon Bourgogne blanc mais en mois puissant. Plaisant, à acheter si moins de 10E

Clean and focused with good acidity. Pleasant vanilla and oak in the background. Nice chardonnay with a character of its' own. I've had previously some bottles that tasted far too much of butterscotch, but this one is fine

Good riddance. Too oaky for me.

Pear juice, powedered cement. Some toasty oak. Middle weight. Apples, pears and some vanilla. Good acidity but not great. Simple and uncomplex but pleasant. Golden in color.

Smells exactly like the butterscotch candies my grandmother used to have. Vanilla and cloves on the palate, lingering butterscotch pudding finish. Clearly butterscotch is the theme here, even more so than the last time I had this wine. To be fair the wine is more nuanced than I make it sound, other flavor elements come in and out, it is well balanced, and interesting. You had better like butterscotch though.

Ann really liked this, but it might be the first wine from this producer, maybe even the first wine imported by Dressner, that I didn't care for. I thought it was sort of flabby, wanting in acidity and minerality. However, it does have a nice purity, and mouth filling mild fruitiness. Just didn't grab me.

This bottle of wine was very good. This has improved greatly since the last bottle. Wonderful mouth feel, with a creamy texture. Wonderful Meyer's lemon flavors that lend to the acidity and balance. I may be underscoring it...drink over the next year or two...AMM

Nice mix of tartness and mineral. Clean and crisp. Went really well with shrimp & spinach risotto.

Very happy wine. This was my summer 2009 wine. Everyone always loved it. I did too. I will miss it. Pure, bright, almost Alsace-esque fruit.

Consistantly fine showing. Good middleweight Chard, providing adequate sap and balancing acids. Good value.

Fragrant aroma of pears and apricots. Green apples, vanilla and spices on the palate. Lingering butterscotch pudding finish - but lacking the heavy, cloying sweetness that is becoming too common in that type of wine. Overall it's a well balanced, easy drinker and a good value at $13.

Last bottle of this... finishing off the summer. As always a good medium-weight, custard and lemon filled Chard with good leesy elements. Medium acidic frame keeps this from being too ponderous. Nice value.

Lemon custard, vanilla and floral notes. Round in the mouth, with good finishing acids. Rich mouthfilling wine for the price.

Continuing to show well, with a custard-like richness and good acids. Nice medium weight Chard.

Seems to be getting more custard-like as time goes on, with greater hints of vanilla, while the lemony zip seems to be sliding into the background. Still, a lovely, well balanced, food-friendly Chard.

No rating because I believe this bottle was somehow flawed, in light of my positive earlier experience with this bottling and the very high Parker score. Like the earlier bottle, this is loaded with big, bold buttery pear fruit, but the butter quotient is waaaaaay out of balance, and really quite cloying. Made the wine very unappealing except for when it was utterly frigid. The concentration and ripeness is there, but something is off here.

small scale, fresh restrained fruit on the nose, small bodied with mild lemony acidity, enjoyable but lacked concentration. No apparent oak influence, nice balance and a touch of minerality on the finish.

Light straw color. Custard and egg on the nose, mild spices and almond, and toast. Bright citrus and melon. Cantaloupe. Seems familiar but mildly exotic. Lightly smoky. Flavors that seem oriented toward the "white" end of the spectrum, almond and peach, etc.

Light golden. Green apples, slightly smoky, minerals and citrusy. Palate is medium weight, crisp acidity, clean/fresh with a very basic flavor profile without complexity. But no dips or disappointments. Some white flower aromas.

Memorial Day Weekend, picnic on Deb's roof. Ok, Chardonnay from Beaujolais, that’s great, but to my palate, there is a peachy quality in the middle. Perhaps I shouldn’t expect White Burgundy-like white/yellow fruit notes, but I’m not so into the peach notes. I would also prefer more acidity and cut. But then again, I’m an acid head, so maybe I should just stick to Chablis and not Chardonnay from Beaujolais.

at the Bottle Shop chardonnay blind tasting. A nice smaller wine. Deepest yellow of the flight. Initial faint nose of old sneakers blew off but not much took its place. On the palate, there was nice fruit with some richness, but no obvious oak influence. Well integrated and also good acid balance. The fruit seemed to grow towards the finish but then the finish seemed short. Nice now, not one for laying down.

I'm noticing a slight bit of bottle variation; not much... but it is noticable. The bottles from Zachys have been fantastic. Some custardy richness, but the crisp, lemon and grapefruit squirt balances the package. Superb value in white Burgundy.
