A bit late to the Jessica Litaud party – I’ve already fallen for her husband Simon Faure’s wines. This happened for me, even though Jessica’s bottles have been around longer, while Simon only debuted with this vintage, but sometimes that’s just how things unfold. I’ve had Jessica’s L’An Foiré before, though that one always felt like an outlier. This bottle seems much more in line with how her style is usually described. Smokey, salty, baked lemons, wet hay, ripe fruit. Lovely minerality. Super concentrated.

Had a fun evening with friends and we opened some great French whites. This wine, a Chablis from de Moor and a Sancerre from Pinard. My second Litaud. Really impressed by the quality here. Great acidity, very mineral driven but with great purity of fruit as well. Lemon peel, white peach, nectarine, cream, crushed stone and white florals. Delicious and great QPR

Super umami. Tasted over multiple days. Opens with tightly knit peach (haribo) and autolytic notes. With more air, flowers and melted butter start to show. Superb energy and extremely intense. A couple of days later (in the fridge) and the flowers have exchanged for some coconut and deep dark umami. Pop n pour - 90 With air - 91-92 !
