San Lorenzo Montepulciano d'Abruzzo Colline Teramane Oinos

Deep nose of plum and blueberry, clove, hints of vanilla. Full bodied with firm structure and flavors of ripe dark cherry, oaky vanilla, dirt, and plum skin.

Decanted for 20 minutes (based on my TN of Aug. '19 for the 2016 vintage) which allowed the wine to open and integrate. Color was a medium purple. On the nose there were lots of red and dark red fruits, along with some minerality. These fruits (especially cherry) and the minerality carried over to the medium bodied palate.
