Lacks power to be straight to the point. Very little nose and no distinct tannins. Was extremely soft, which was enjoyable but still disappointed. I don't think age was an issue, just not my type of Cab.

This is an absolute beautiful library wine, worth the wait...any of you Fellows (that is the Club name for Frog's Leap) that have had a chance to buy this, you need to jump on it again if offered. Deep purple color, big fruity nose--berries and cherries--pairs very well with hard Italian cheese. Tannins have mellowed out--supple finish. Excellent wine.

Medium red-garnet, ample bricking. Low intensity nose, of black cherry fruit vying with a bit of dusty books and spice pantry that elbow for one's attention. On arrival, medium-low tannin and low acidity. Flavor is decently full of fully mature cabernet character, repeated from the nose, plus some olives and bay leaf warmth. A nice surprise in a cull-the-cellar party. Bottle #2 of two.

Occupy Spoof comes to town. (Joe's.) : Whenever vigneron are around, I like to whip out a bottle like this to show them what California can do. The fact that Frog's Leap is also organic certainly is a plus with this crowd. This bottle didn't disappoint. Opened for 1 hour. Our primary Christmas Wine paired well with the Prime Rib dinner celebration Dark Red, Black Fruit, spicy Cab notes, some complexity, smooth finish that didn't linger very long, enjoyed this wine with family, Ready to drink now.

Another bottle from the "why is that still in my cellar month" hosted by the "Drink Now" section on Cor.kz. No to little brown ring. Medium garnet color, definite but not major fade. Reticent nose. some chocolate cherry kind of thing. Problem is on the palate, where the near parching tannns still outpace the cherry fruit, long since I imagine faded. Odd strong vegetal thing on back palate. Still for all the criticism, the bottle lays empty. A powerful reminder …

The wine a Purple color with a nose of Plum, Bell Pepper, Tobacco, and Oak. It has a nice flavor of Plum, Black Pepper and hint of oak. It has a medium body with a pleasingly long finish. Great everyday wine.

Cedar and menthol aroma. Smooth plum and cherry flavors evolve into a slightly hot, lingering licorice and vanilla finish. I would love this at $15, I like it at the $25 price I paid, but wouldn't go for it at the list price of $40. This is a lovely Bordeaux-via-California Cabernet. It's just a little soft, but if that's the worst I can say about a Cali red it means I like it.
