Baum-Barth Ingelheimer Spätburgunder

Very dark colour for a pinot - seems almost opaque until you swirl vigorously with the glass. Relatively muted on the nose (we drank the wine chilled), maybe some dark berry notes and there was some slight reduction. On the palate the wine was very full, with a tad too high tannins for my taste in a pinot. Again, we have the very dark berry fruit that coats the palate. Has medium-low acidity.
