This was very well balanced and attractive, nothing awry, not much acidity, showing some nice bottle age. A bit one dimensional, though very smooth and elegant, medium to full-bodied. Didn't wow me but useful when you want something a little different to the usual Napa Cab Sauvignon. This Cab Franc had a slightly more green and stoney/mineral aspect which I normally find with Cab Franc's. 92+pts.

Gotta remember that Cab Franc is not Cab Sauv, so waiting is a gamble. This was not *over* the hill, just slightly past peak IMHO. Still nice and round, good blue fruits, rose petal, nothing wrong with it. Just a little less interesting than I'm sure it was a couple years ago. I'll agree with the current window - drink now!

Not as big as I remember when purchased in 2013. Classic peppery CF. Fairly dry

Drinking really well - getting a good amount of Tobacco and leather - fruit is secondary to the earthy profile - decent amount of sentiment appearing

Excellent. Decanted 2 hours before drinking. Served with rack of lamb. Wonderful pairing. Hints of bell pepper, a bit of olive, tobacco, spice, leather, rubber. Black cherry is dominant fruit, but the fruit is very well balanced with the tannins. Very drinkable. Wish I had more.

Fantastic! My friends loved the wine, they think I'm rich, aristocratic and the 'bomb.

Surprised me. Very nice wine and only got better as night went on. Excellent companion to veal chop - complimented rather than overpowered. Wish I had more of this.

Smooth. Nice wine to sip and enjoy by itself. Nice bouquet with hints of tobacco and a little smoke. Dark cherry on the taste.

This was wonderful. It was a total example of how I love this wine. Smooth, yet earthy. This wine tastes like the Duckhorn Tasting room smells

dinner with friends last night. Nice wine, no formal notes but this was memorably good. Good fruit, still young. Opened up well with nice complexity. Would buy.

This wine was tasted in single-blind fashion at a Right Bank vs. New World Merlot/Cabernet Franc theme tasting. It is opaque crimson in color and throws an opening aromatic salvo of cassis, blackberry, mint and baking spices. Full-bodied and rich on the palate, with low-to-medium acidity, ample sweet tannins and seamless alcohol (listed as 14.5%). The flavors mirror the nose and are mouth-coating throughout the mid-palate and lengthy finish. This wine is an infant, but it has lots of verve …

Lovely notes of red cherry fruit, hints of lavender and more of the same on the palate, very luscious, mouth filling and easy to drink after tasting 5 other Duckhorn red wines. My favorite of the group. Lovely long finish, asked for another pour to enjoy.

I don't recall ever enjoying a cab franc from Duckhorn as much as this one, nice ruby red colour, nice balance of lean red and dark fruit with some vegetable characteristics. Big juicy tannins that were nicely kept in check - Medium body with a nice mouth feel and medium+ finish.
