Luscious, bold and beautiful wine. Decanted 45 minutes. Nose ha s an alcoholic hint. Also a hint of mature pine. Cannot quite place it. Black cherry , currant, black berry Lovely line. It has years of life left. Love it.

Last bottle, and still monolithic. Perception is of a wall of dark fruit without any fine details. A bit gritty too. Some will love this, but I find myself much preferring a lighter, more elegant style of cab these days.

At 12+ years of age this remains a big wine...like King Kong big! I doubted Steven Tanzer when his May 2018 review suggested holding this until 2023. But he wasn't far off. Decanted this for 4+ hours and it was still developing over the next several hours as we drank. The cork had hardened sediment resembling stalactites! The word that kept leaping out at me with this wine was "Silky". The nose was bursting with dark and red berries, dark chocolate, some earthy notes (classic spring mountain). The wines is ready to go at PnP, it did fill out a little after an hour. There's no sense in holding this one for much longer, drink up.

Inky dark blue and black berry fruit, moderately extracted and dry, with oak, herb and earthy notes, even medicinal on day one. Day 2, the wine had calmed down nicely, especially the medicinal notes but rather dry and tamed. Not bad and highly touted by a wine salesman, but for the money, there are better options. This wine would be better appreciated with food. R.P. nailed it on this one.

Terrific bold dark berry wine. Great nose-- deep dark berries, oak, earth nose. Inky hue. Worth the wait. Drinking very nicely. Great structure, depth, long finish, mellow, smooth. Easy to drink with or within food.

Decanted for 4 hours and drank over the next two. Really didn't open until final 30 minutes, but once it did, it was terrific. Fresh flowers and balanced mountain fruit. Can't wait to try again after long decant.

Dry, woody tannins dominated on opening, so I saved it for the next day. Markedly better on day 2. Deep, shimmering color with nose of fresh herb and mature fruit. Blueberry, cherry and blackberry on the palate. Silky mouthfeel, medium body. Still has dry tannins on the finish. Would hold and drink after a long decant.

Decanted to remove sediment and allowed to aerate for 1 hour. Very reticent nose with hints of blackberry, smoke, graphite, and hints of vanilla. Very elegant and refined on the palate with subdued fruit. Still showing a significant tannic grip. This can hold for another 3 years easily to develop further complexity. This was a welcome refreshment and beautifully executed. Great value at $115. Paired with crispy duck in fig reduction, pecan wild rice, and charred Brussels sprouts.
