Porter Creek tasting room visit. Appearance is clear, pale intensity, lemon colour. Legs. Nose is clean, medium+ intensit, with aromas of citrus lemon, saline salt minerality. Youthful. On the palate, dry, high acidity, medium alcohol (13.2%), medium body. Medium flavour intensity, with flavours of citrus lemon, saline salt minerality. Medium finish. Good quality. Fairly simple clean Chardonnay. Drink fresh.

This was opened last night. Relatively dark for such a young Chardonnay, and quite viscous. Nice buttery, fruity nose, but not over done or over ripe like so many California Chardonnays. This restraint carries over to the palate, leaving the impression of a clean, fresh wine. Quite delightful. 5-12-16-8: 91/100

Green apple core, light salted caramel apple, light toast, palate shows more of the oak, vanilla, baking spice. Showing more oak than I remember previous vintages showing. Nice wine, well balanced.
