A blend of the seven classic Rioja varieties: Tempranillo (a majority at +50%), Graciano, Garnacha Tinta, Mazuelo (aka. Carignan), Viura, Malvasía Riojana (aka. Alarije) and Garnacha Blanca. The red varieties make up about 95% of the final blend, the three white varieties only 5%. Encore un beau 92. C'est Rioja à 100%. Très bonne complexité aromatique avec saveurs de fruits rouges, cuirs, vanille et boisé bien appuyé. Tannins un peu secs "old school", mais l'ensemble reste suffisament gras et persistant. Ça lui donne un certain charme traditionnel. Le vin semble un peu fermé pour le moment. Peu de tannins et un peu sucré mais tout de même pas trop lourd. On goûte clairement le tempranillo mais les autres cépages (entre autre les cépages blancs?) rende le tout assez léger avec une finale à laquelle on est pas dutout habitués pour un Rioja. Curieux de voir dans 2 ou 3 ans, disons en entrée avec des charcuteries.

Útgáfuteiti hjá Steingrími Vínóteksmeistara. Vínið er klárlega mjög gott en fyrir minn smekk allt of mikilð eikað. Ég er bara búinn að fá nóg af svona eikarsprengjum. Þess vegna ekki hærri einkunn.

Volle rijpe kersengeur, vleugje alcohol in de neus en wat eikenhout. Smaak: Kersen, tonen van koffie. Stevig, mooie concentratie en balans tussen fraaie zuren en gedeeltelijk geïntegreerde tannines.
