Ditto to my prior tasting note. Somehow, I feel like I'm the only one still enjoying the 2007 vintage - - if you find a bottle from 2007, rest assured that the wine is drinking GREAT!

Amazingly good wine - - especially for the price point. Wine is drinking very well now, well beyond the WC suggested drinking period of 2009-2014. If you can find it, I would recommend that you buy without hesitation.

This was very good upon opening (~88 pts), but really blossomed after 2-3 days in the bottle (vacu-sealed)

Russk. Not much nose. Very drinkable. Goes down like water (GDLW). 90+ A few days later 91pts.

After breathing it was better. The strength of the peat aroma overpowered any of the subtilties in the aroma and flavor

Solid CDR, and a good value for the money *if* you drink it all. For some reason I never do, so not sure whether I'll re-buy. Would be great for a party.

Wow. Aged great. Pomegranate and plum. Tangy and finishes well.

Dark ruby color, nose of cherry, licorice, barn, violets, med body with sweet cherries turning tart, notes of licorice, stones, supported by fresh acids and smooth well hidden tannins. Long finish, stays with me for minutes. 89

Best box attempt at a Burgundian red. Crisp plum and blueberry aromas with hints of French cooking spices. Palate was more of the same - Grenache takes the front seat and get's overthrown by a lighter raspberry note as the finish approaches. End was smooth, slightly tannic, warm, lingering (surprisingly). Good table red for most starchy and game dishes, not suitable for robust red meat. Decent value overall; however, at $28 a box, I can get 3 better bottles at …

not as good as last bottle. pop & pour (which should not matter given village CDR form '07). Tasted out of balance with a lot of heat on the finish. Will post an edit if this improves with airtime or the next day. Drinkable but would not buy again - probably bottle variation (although purchased from same store and stored in good conditions).

Decent drop. Simple cherry flavors, not much in the way of tannins. Reminds me a bit of the Tres Picos Garnacha from Spain. Good QPR at $12.

I agree that this is not your typical Cotes du Rhone. Pleasant red fruit on the nose. While I believe the fruit is fading, it does appear on the palate after some air. All-in-all, I will drink my last bottle soon.

Kind of agree with other notes, fairly light and simple, with a muted nose. Some floral berry notes, light acid/tannins. Air time does help, a little pricey at 23$ CAN for what you get...will keep this in mind...

This is a fun little wine. It has an old world sensibility with it's floral, subtly, with a new world flair in its fruit forwardness. medium bodied and never heavy on the palate, it really puts the Grenache varietal on a pedestal just kind of letting the fruit do the talking. Violet plowers, plums, licorice, spice box, and a touch of dusty earth. Not your typical Cotes du Rhone and a really nice change of pace.

Slightly candied red-purple fruits on the nose with a hint of a citrus note too. Peppery on the palate with tangy acidity that carries through to the finish. Hints of roasted nut as well. Quite decent. Four-bottle cardboard box for $32ish. 86-87.

brighter fruit flavors for a southern rhone: cherry, raspberry interspersed with floral notes.

Excellent QPR. Needs a couple of hours in the decanter before it can be enjoyed.

Nice CDR - opened bottle 2+ hours before eating - initiallly pretty weak - with food 2+ hours later very nice (gained weight with air) - nose was a little weak but wine very nice on the palate. Full mouthfeel - blackberry, black licorice, vibrant acidity. Excellent with food (grilled chicken on the bone). Incredible QPR around $10.00.

Parker must have had a few before tasting this one. Spicy, cherry, blackberry and tobacco. Perhaps time will improve, but I just don't see the upside. The best I can say is it's not a wallet buster, but even for $12-15, I think I have a 50/50 shot to do better at the grocery store. Highly disappointing.

Reminded me of some Paso Rhone Rangers in that it had a ripe, fruit forward style (dark cherry, blackberry, currant) that had a high sense of extract and alcohol. Though it did have higher acidity that most from that region. Little earth or garrigue to make you think Rhone, so a New World take on CdR. Needs at least a half hour to open and soften at this stage.

This is quite good, nice ruby color, typical granache nose, medium body, sweet red fruit on the palate initially covers the light tannins and acid, spicy finish. Could use more bottle age or some food. Vacuum closed, 3 day later - Darker color, better nose, smoother on the palate and better finish 88 . Still simple, but tasty. Decant if you drink now.
