Ready to drink and so charming! Nez expressif de notes balsamiques, de cèdre, d'épices-bois, de vanille, de réglisse, de cassis, de vieux cuir...tellement beau ! Un vin fruité, ample, souple, rond, fondu, sapide...à point ! Longue finale aux fruits noirs bien mûrs. Boire sans tarder. 94+

Needs a proper decant. Llicorella with cherrie notes underneath. Nice priorat

Deep crimson. Expressive, perfumed nose after decanting. High acidity, black fruit, leather, slightly spicy. (Before decanting) Warm-ish sort of palate. (Post-decanting) Balanced, juicy, quite nice. Quite some length.

Ripe, perfumed and vibrant on the nose - dark fruit, licquorice, crushed stones, herbs, spices. On the palate again generous and ripe, quite layered, well integrated acidity, good tannic grip, lots of minerality. Very good length. 91-93

Eðalklúbburinn in Catalunya; 9/3/2017-9/9/2017 (Catalunya) : The last wine we tasted in the Marco Abella visit was Clos Abella. Light in colour (like all the other wines tasted). Priorat notes on the nose, slight whiff of solvents, minerals, red berries. High acidity, cherries, on the tongue. Almonds, amaretto in the aftertaste. Complex, balanced and polished wine yet probably tasted too young. I think there is upwards potential here.

Picota cubierto. Nariz expresiva, con volumen, con abundante fruta negra en sazón, toques minerales, algún apunte balsámico, regaliz negra y fondo especiado. En boca entra bien, con cuerpo medio, no anda mal de acidez, con un tanino intenso, carnoso, estructura media y notable longitud. Ganará con algo de botella.
