This is a very different kind of Sauvignon Blanc than many other Napa SB's at this price point. While it is expensive at $25 (what I paid) the wine is slightly more French in style than new world. In the finish, the wood infusion that has taken place begins to emerge. None of this before the acidity dominated the profile first. Clearly a wine that is built to improve. The wine has a smoky and cedar laden flavor in the …

Refreshing citrus on the palate, very nice all its own.

Pale yellow. Med+ lemon, grapefruit, melon, white flowers, yellow peach, tart tropical fruit, wet stone and just a hint of oak spice. Stainless steel and some oak, including a touch of new French Oak. Aging on lees adds complexity and fullness. Dry, with generous fruit. Med to med (+) acidity, high alcohol (14.6% but seems lower). Med body, med (+) to pronounced flavor intensity and nice length. Drink now, not intended for aging. Really good QPR in the high $10s …

Very fresh with lemongrass, grapefruit and kiwi. Medium to full bodied and impressively smooth. Drink now.

Pnp while watching the Belmont Stakes, melon notes on the palate with some lemon/lime but some grapefruit pith notes took over in the end. Cousin Pudge sensed to much grapefruit notes and gave to me to finish. In the end ok wine but not a rebuy for us

Retail $33. 92% Sauvignon Blanc, 8% Sauvignon Gris. 59% was fermented in French oak (13% new) and spent seven months in barrel on the lees. The other 41% was in stainless steel. Quite light in the glass, almost colorless but quite floral with tropical notes, Meyer lemon, and tart honeydew. The palate is quite tart with plenty of fruit and surprising weight (no doubt due to its time in barrel with bâtonnage). It is not until right before the finish, …

Light yellow color. Bright and zesty on the nose with grapefruit, lime and kiwi, topped in sliced cucumbers, jalapeno and chalk dust. Brisk and fresh on the palate, this offers generous textural depth as well, though. Lemons, limes and some guava fruit, topped in a pleasant mix of lemon verbena and celery seed. The notes of minerals and mountain stream add a delightful note to the finish. Fresh but complex, a balanced and vibrant Sauv Blanc. Aged in a mix …

Nose: Pleasant aromas, initially leading with lime and green apple before a hint of peach/stone fruit emerges. Palate: Got nice green apple notes for a second or two before the heavy mouthfeel emerges, with the high alcohol and medium acid overwhelming everything else. Overall: I found this wine to be disappointing as the elevated alcohol levels really overwhelmed everything else. Not sure if this means I am not a fan of California/RRV sauvignon blanc overall or if this specific vintage/producer …
