Deep ruby red in appearance. Lush nose with crushed lavender, black currants, hint of vanilla and sandalwood. Well balanced acidity, full bodied with medium to medium plus tannins (7/10). Dark berries on the palate with fresh herbs, plums and twigs. Long finish and smooth. Drink till 2036.

Really pretty nose of sweet cherry, bright red fruits and cinnamon. Leather, minerals, spice, red plums and a touch of white pepper on the pallet. Great mouthfeel with some well integrated very fine tannins. Long finish. My first experience with the wine and I really liked it. May get better with more age but I think it is drinking bueatifully right now.

Didn't do it for me. Weak in the midpalate, slightly astringent aftertaste, nose faded after it was initially wonderful during the decant. Will update if the half a pour left from last night changes anything. As of now, won't buy again. 2.5 hr decant in amadeo / Riedel cab

Waited a whole stinkin’ year to have another bottle. I should have waited the two I recommended. This was great, though. Decanted for 4 hours. The tannins are more resolved, but I’d like them even more so. Those walnuts and berries are there still, too. Just a little bit more time. Perhaps the year that I freaking recommended to myself? See you in 2025, next bottle!

As expected, this wine is young. But still drinking nicely, just nowhere near its true potential yet. This wine is big and full-bodied, with polished tannins that need some air time to allow you to really enjoy it. Notes of nuts, smoke, dark fruit, and spices. Walkabout tasting, no detailed tasting notes. All Tua Rita wines on display felt a little hot and alcoholic and did not have much aroma, not really attractive. I preferred the Perlato (88) ahead of the Giusto (87-88) and Lodano (87).

Not rating this as too young—maybe 2 years from now I will? Immediately after opening and decanting, the nose is straight up candied walnuts and tart berries. Rather alluring. 1 hr mark, same, with baked plum. Palate has some fruit but tannins are waaayyyyy grippy. 4 hr mark, this is drinkable and even good, but it’s still too young.
