I liked this bottle better than the last one. More floral. 88 points.

Pop and pour review (at room temp). Nose is mostly oak, with faint pomegranate and tobacco. Palate is tart; strong acidity, fine-grained tannins, and oak; very little fruit, although some pomegranate is there. Finish is moderately short and herbal/vegetal. Overall this is not bad, but very simple; not much to it. Probably would be better with food, especially fatty meats, as it has the acidity to cut through fat.

Opened with appetizers after golf. Otis' buddy wanted a lighter bodied red so popped this. Light garnet color. Only slightly chilled. Flowery with notes of strawberry and fresh bing cherries. Relatively simple but very refreshing. Last had this in the 2000 vintage which I liked better. 86 points

Very good nose of wild strawberries, but a little too much of a fruity Beaujolais Nouveau style on the palate for my liking. Started getting better after extensive aeration. Paired well with tomatoes, and would probably pair well with turkey too. J liked it more and didn't find it as fruit-forward, so I'll give it an extra point. 85-87

Smells delicious, blackberry fruit with some depth and freshness. Nice nose. Tart red fruit initially, some chalkiness, some steaminess, but no harsh acidity or tannin. The fruit and structure here is well integrated even though the structure is very firm. Some dark plum and stemmy earthy notes rise up in the finish. Overall very nice, having tasted the entire line-up, this is one of my favorites. 87+

Beautiful nose of wild raspberry, strawberries, stems, and white pepper. Intensely flavored with a high-toned red fruit component. Very smooth and easy drinking, good dose of chalky soil too. Clean, quick finish that works well with the theme of this Beaujolais. QPR winner.
