Pleasant surprise this 2008 Rosemount Diamond Cab. No funk on the nose - you want terrior, look elsewhere. But a clean smell and taste for 10-bucks, plus just enough fruit to coat your tongue and fill your mouth and , and a finish that some $20-bottles won't give you - that's a bargain you shouldn't pass up. Excellent with food.

Made for the masses, and it kind of shows, but actually better than i would have thought. This is deep dark red, nose of some jammy blackberry/current with chocolate notes perhaps. The palate is similar, medium bodied with a hair of a milky (chocolate milk) quality. Finishes with a little oak. Verging on a little sweet perhaps.
