Hard to believe how well this wine has held up, still cherry forward though less bright than when it was younger...cork was solid, in the glass it’s showing a little color change, though less than I expected...nose had some age to it, less perfume than when young for sure...but on the palate the fruit still leads and finishes...I really enjoy it as it’s tasting now...wish they still made’em like they used to :-))

Very nice. At 11 years old this is in a great spot. Cola, earth, red fruit, dust, and tannins are nicely integrated. Fruit was still a bit sweet, so this wasn't the best pairing with rib steak, but a delicious wine.

Drinking really good. Age has integrated the wine wonderfully. This is what a pinot aged well should taste like.

Earth, cherries, herbs, raspberries. Delicious, and with a nice weight to it - perfectly medium bodied. The finish is ever so slightly sweet with fruit while the tannins are resolved. Acid structure is great. Nice dose of the Carneros version of cola also.

Little past it's prime. But still good.

This bottle was not a great as earlier bottle. Didn't get as much earth in nose or palate. Would have benefited from opening up.

Better than last time. Tight, flavourful. This stuff cellars seriously well, and if Wkdpanda says it needs nearly 2 hours to get seriously good, then there is indeed legs in this stuff. Back to status as one of my favourite CA Pinots Noirs!

Initially very tight. Guests first thought it wasn't good. Took 45 min to open up, with another hour and people were shocked at the change. Good nose after opening up, notes of berry and tobacco with a good finish leaving you want more. The Ramal vineyards are so much better than what B. Vista sells mass market.

Takes half an hour for the nose to arrive, and then another hour for it to open up properly. Even now, nearly tw hours in I'm going to keep half the bottle til tomorrow to see if it's going to improve then! Penty of acid, and the nose is wonderfully deep, dark, with cola, earth and mushroom notes over dark red fruit. Layered, with fine waved of minerality ont he mid-alate and a kong mouthwatering finish. Not the fruit intensity …

Lovely pinot. Nice combination of fruit and earthy aroma. Snoman's 2010 TN similar to my experience. I don't think I'd risk aging that much longer.

Fragrant nose with black cherries, vanilla, forest. A touch of heat as well. Palate sweet and smooth with good concentration of cherry fruit, cranberry, nutmeg, with some good minerality. Finish is very solid with great acidity. Not as good as the previously tasted 828 clone.

Exciting aromas of dried cherry, cola, and cranberry. Similar flavors on the palate with good intensity. The depth of the flavor comes out on the finish. ($17)

Fine wine, should with a couple of more years be even btter than the 03. A respected friend says it's a but like Premier, or even Grand Cru Burgundy at half the price, though this may be overenthusiasm. Yet it's really that good, I think... have to age it a while more to know for certain. Quite possible you could age this for a decade or considerably more. Complex, rich without being heavy or overripe or overoaked! Brilliant delicate complex …

Beautiful dark ruby/garnet in glass, nose of rich red fruit and some loam. Wonderfully rich palate, explosive red/dark cherry & strawberry fruit, long finish. This is mature now, noticed some dropoff in acidity and tannic struture, but fruit hasn't faded a bit, so I'd drink 'em up now....won't be improving much over time. Very enjoyable.

Nice wine...some cherry notes...what you would expect at this price point.

Terrific example. Rich nose of strawberries and black fruit, followed by palate of creamy, yet layered flavors. Long finish.

Purchased this at the winery 6 months ago. Chilled to 58 degrees and decanted for 30 mins. Wine has mellowed, bouquet is light - red current and herbs. On the palate is smooth red currant and tart strawberry, becomes cream like before transitioning to an earthy finish. Acidity is well balanced. Would have rated higher if there was more to the bouquet. Nice pinot.

Light fruit. Strawberries, raspberries with some nice bubble gum and cotton candy aromas. The palate is lush and laced with a funky but enjoyable finish that is light in body, light tannins with delicate alcohol and acidity.

Still very young and it won't give you much if you just pop and pour. No fruit and fairly bland at first but the fruit starts to come out after an hour or so. Only had half the bottle on day 1, then popped into the fridge and didn't get to open again until day 3. It was a completely different wine then. Just an explosion of red fruit mixed with some nice dust. Really enjoyable. Will definitely reward you …
