Spice notes of cinnamon and nutmeg on the nose along with black cherry, plum, herbs, tobacco, and earth. Nice acidity on the palate with soft tannins and a medium length finish.

Clear, medium-ruby color, medium-plus intensity on the nose with broad notes of violets, asphalt, plums, a little baked bread and wood smoke. On the palate its narrower than on the nose, the fruit is, unsurprisingly, not particularly developed, medium -plus acidity, medium tannin, medium alcohol and body, violets and what fruit is there is more red than black. This was opened at room temperature but some chilling would probably make things interesting and would make it a good summer lunchtime …

Sweet mint aromas lead to leather and blackberry. Strong minerality with good depth and complexity.
