Burgundy-like. Cool yellow and white stone fruit, very mineral-driven. Balanced acidity. 12,5% is just lovely. Nuanced. Long.

Third bottle, the two prior in 2019 were quite tight. This is singing straight away, and even more so on day 2: Expressive nose like a hybrid of very good chenin blanc (Guiberteau) and Chablis (Pattes Loup comes to mind). Lemon and orange peel, wet stone, toast, wax and fresh flowers. Medium body, lovely fruit, M+ acid and a truly long, mineral finish. Great wine and QPR.

Taste a little like chenin - apple skin. And then lots of sharp minerality. And then with some apple fruit on the palate as well.

Quite similar notes, and I am still quite taken with this; it's dry, vertical, layered in style, some oxidized notes, but a very solid fruit. Great wine. #Mondän

Big powerful mineral streak going through stone fruit and Meyer lemon. Rich and luxurious in a wya that reminds me of meursault. Big fan of this and the price is very friendly for the value.

As others have said, dead ringer for a village Chablis. Lemon curd, oyster shell, lots of sea salt on the palate and the acidity was rounded in a way that was incredibly refreshing. It's probably a little more like chablis in a warmer vintage, though, with a bit of sunshine and warmer fruit -- reminded me a lot of some of the more classically styled California chardonnays that are also Chablis-like, like Arnot Roberts Watson Ranch/Trouth Gulch. To hammer that …

Great wine. Layered, really interesting, minerals here, full, yellow fruit, rich, buttery, yet fresh with a stringent acidity. Gotta get some of these. #CharlieBird

Beautiful, deep, complex nose; body and fruit like a Chenin from South Africa, elegance and freshness like a Burgundy that has seen only old oak. Lovely thing and highly recommended. From the Douro valley, eh?!

Aromas of green apples and lime, wet rock, with salt tones. Tastes similarly, with nice acidity to boot. Has a good weight to it without feeling heavy. Long vibrant aftertaste. Lacks the complexity and the complete balance of its big brother (Xistro Cru), but a good wine in its own right, and well worth the price.

Just lovely. Bright, saline, lemony, zesty. good Chablis meets Albariño or Etna. Probably even better in a year.

Beautiful wine, great acid balanced with leesy, creamy body. Ripe citrus, notes, mineral, rocky, peach, nectarine. Really good wine, great value.
